COLD WORK TOOL STEEL O-2
COLD WORK TOOL STEEL O-2
Cold-work tool steels belong to the family of high carbon steels that are further characterized into oil-solidifying steels, high-carbon, high-chromium steels, and air-solidifying steels. Oil-solidifying cold work steels are otherwise called group O steels consisting of O1, O2, O6, and O7 types.
The O2 oil-hardening cold-work steel is alloyed with manganese. O2 is an oil hardening tool steel type supplied in the toughened condition and described by its qualities of offering good durability, excellent wear resistance and its ability to hold a good cutting edge.
